Year One – 2009

While Year One might seem like your normal run of the mill comedy, it is and it doesn’t try to be any different. It may get compared to such films as Epic Moive or Disaster Movie but Jack Black and Michael Cera work very well together as a comedy double act and prove that this is a lot better.
After being banished from their tribe for eating the forbidden fruit Zed (Black) and Oh (Cera) travel trough ancient times to rescue two attractive gatherers. Directed by Harold Ramis most known for his work on Ghostbusters and Groundhog day it was also given the seal of approval by Judd Aptow.
There are some good laughs along the way, surprisingly for me out loud moments. The cast list is full of big names who pop up with some comedic moments such as Hank Azaria, Vinne Jones, Oliver Platt and Christopher ‘Mclovin’ Mintz-Plasse
Year One is not going to be a standout comedy there are enough gags here to please any Jack Black fan.
