This was a lot better than I had first anticipated, normally with spin off films they can end up being a complete disaster. But with X-Men Origins: Wolverine I was pleasantly surprised, the plot follows the origins (as the title suggests) of how James Logan became the legend that is Wolverine and how the testing on mutants came to be.
The film is packed with some great action sequences and brilliant special effects, while the acting is not 100% Hugh Jackman is still commanding as Wolverine and Liev Schreiber is pretty good as Victor Creed.
The storyline is credible and it leads in nicely to the first X-Men film. I’m not sure if they plan to do this for any of the other X-Men characters but if they keep the same format as this then they are onto a winner.
