Funniest Comedy of 2008
Pineapple Express is a kind of integrated action comedy and one which fits Seth Rogan very well, teamed with James Franco the film centres around a pair of pot smoking no hopers who witness a murder.
With only the end of a splif and the mythical Pine Apple Express tying them to the murder the pair go on the run to from the mob.
Pineapple Express is not exactly your traditional buddy film, and certainly puts both lead actors out of their comfort zone well at least more so for Franco. Rogan is again at his witty charming best, but for me it is new comer Danny McBride as Red who steals the show.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again if you like Seth Rogan then you’ll love this, it’s got great laughs in it and has to be one of the funniest comedies for 2008.
