Paul Blart: Mall Cop – 2009

Paul Blart: Mall Cop is a light hearted comedy with some good laughs, it doesn’t take itself too seriously and in some comedies that’s good. We don’t want to try and over complicate the plot with trying to get some cheap laughs in.

Kevin James does a great job as a mall security guard who has failed to make it through the Sheriff academy, and he goes about his job just as if he was on patrol….and on a sedgeway which I thinks adds to comedic aspect.

As with most of these films there is a woman and she’s played by the rather cute Jayma Mays, but when the mall is over run by a gang of thieves it’s up to Blart to save the day and get the girl. Does he do it, well you’ll have to wait and see.

He’s a bumbling fool, slightly overweight but with a heart of gold, what’s not to love here.
