Oren Peli Goes Down The River

Found footage seems to be a favoutire for some directors, twinned with the odd viral campaign they have the ability to draw the viewer in….and successfully as well!

Paranormal Activity writer/director Oren Peli, and its sequel writer Michael R. Perry, are planning a TV show using found footage to tell another scary tale.

It’s to be set along the Amazon river, and will concern someone who’s gone missing – of course. But (luckily) they’ve left footage behind (surprise), and it’s that that will form the show.

We imagine there’s going to be more than one person involved, to keep the pace of a TV show up, but only time will tell, and no doubt given Peli’s previous scares that this one will have you again hiding behind your popcorn!

DreamWorks TV is close to a deal to make this with ABC, so with a bit of luck we’ll see it sometime next year.
