Observe and Report – 2009

One thing to note here regarding Observe and Report , Seth Rogan is not immune to featuring in bad films. He may be Hollywood’s comedy golden boy but here he fails to deliver even a smirk, at least not from me.

I had high expectations for this film, but when I didn’t see Judd Aptow’s name amongst the credits I worried. The successful writer/director has a good track record of casting Rogan in smash hit films its a shame he wasn’t around for this one.

Observe and Report relies on cheap jokes all capitulating at the end with Rogan chasing a flasher through a shopping mall, OK that may have raised a smile.

The script itself was largely weak and maybe could have been delivered better. If you’re a Seth Rogan fan then you might be able to stand it for the 90 or so minutes, if you don’t then I would forget it altogether.

DVD Extras: A gag reel and that is it!

Blu-ray Extras: No extras, which to be honest sums up the whole miserable experience
