Neeson to star in The Grey
Liam Neeson has been bumped up to first choice for the lead role in A-Team remake director Joe Carnahan’s film The Grey.
Carnahan was set to shoot The Grey with wise-cracking heart throb Bradley Cooper. However with Cooper having departed for reasons unknown (busy schedule possibly), Carnahan has called on Neeson, another action star, to fill the void.
The Grey is a survival thriller and follows a group of Alaskan pipeline workers whose plane crashes on their way home from a job, and having to deal with all the elements is the least of their worries.
Carnahan, who is best known for his wild action flicks having also directed Smokin’ Aces, has described it as a man vs. nature adventure.
A different role for Neeson perhaps but no doubt one that he’ll fill very well indeed.
