Fast and Furious – 2009

Fast and Furious, the fourth installment in this nitrous exploding franchise should probably have replaced the slightly average Tokyo Drift as ending the franchise on a trilogy. I guess they were trying to get their monies worth, but the fourth and eagerly awaited film didn’t disappoint.
This time all the old characters return who appeared in the original as Toretto and girlfriend Letty are back to their old ways hijacking trucks using modified cars. Brian is also back and has been recruited by the FBI after going rogue at the end of the first film.
The storyline for Fast and Furious is a little ropey as one event brings the whole crew back together again, but the action and driving sequences are better than any of the previous films and the cars too look like they have had a revamp.
The soundtrack has an aura of cool about it, as does Vin Diesel. It’s nice to see as well some certain parts of the original story being tied up in this one, as we know both Brian and Toretto have a history together.
While some people might find the ending a little cheesy and predictable one hopes that they don’t attempt to start the engines again!
