Daredevil reboot gets a writer

Here we go with yet another reboot, this time 20th Century Fox are looking to eradicate the memory of Affleck’s blind hero by hiring Brad Caleb Kane to write the script.

Kane himself has been a script writer on hit US show Fringe for the last couple of years so a chance to sink his teeth into a popular comic book story is a great opportunity him.

Kane will be basing his Daredevil script on a popular arc from the Daredevil comics called ‘Born Again’.

Originally written by by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli in 1986, ‘Born Again’ sees Daredevil go mad at the hands of nemesis Kingpin after the latter discovers the hero’s secret identity by bribing his secretary.

30 Days Of Night director David Slade is attached to helm this new Daredevil.

The 2003 film which starred Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Garner was a modest effort but still managed to get panned by critics, so Fox are going to make sure that the reboot doesn’t  follow along the same line.
