Adam Buckley finds himself in the middle of a convenience store robbery during his last night as a pledge for a college fraternity.
Directed: Will Canon
Stars: Trevor Morgan, Lou Taylor Pucci and Arlen Escarpeta
What we think: Given the extremely short running time this film certainly manages to pack everything in, and at a high tension rate as well.
From the very opening where a van load of frat boys are running about with a ski mask and gun in an initiation prank, to seeing it go badly wrong as one of the group is shot, to double crossing each other in a bid to put themselves in the clear.
There is never really a calm moment for anyone, and you have to wonder if this kind of thing is in itself very much a reality for all the fraternity houses America wide. It certainly doesn’t paint them in a favourable light.
Will Canon and Doug Simon’s script didn’t need to be elongated, what’s the point? You’ll get to know the main characters straight off without having to delve into too many background details, and I personally liked that.
At the centre of it all two protagonists stand clear from the rest, Frank (Jon Foster) and Adam (Trevor Morgan). Frank the leader of the house wants to sweep everything under the carpet without the need for the authorities to be called in.
Adam on the other hand has his friends interest at heart, and getting him to the hospital is proving difficult with Frank standing in the way.

Throw the gas attendant into the mix who has a secret of his own, an out of control sorority and a former frat boy turned cop and it makes for a very interesting watch.
It’s a solid little Inde thriller, the acting is surprisingly good but then it has to be as no one really gets time to draw their breath at any stage.
The twist ending is not expected but welcomed, and maybe one that we all missed in the fracas.
It’s a film that will explore the values of a fraternity but deep down will focus more on how strong a friendship really is when the going gets tough.
