Not Bad!

Not Bad!

Bad Santa is a film that is out there, but with a pretty good performance from Billy Bob Thornton. Thornton plays Willie, a safe cracker who is seemingly on his last legs in life driven to the drink and sleeping with whatever women heads his way.

Each year he dons a Santa suit and with fellow partner Marcus dressed as an Elf they rob the very department stores they work in. The film has some great laughs in it, but also some moments of drama in which Willie thinks back to his childhood and where it may have all gone wrong.

He is paired in the film by a love interest who has a fascination with his Santa outfit, and a small boy who seems to be as troubled as he is. It’s nice to see a Christmas film that doesn’t tick all the PC boxes, and there is no frills or fluff around this one.
