Here we go again, another group of horny teenagers boozed up head to a desolate ranch to be picked off one by one until a rather all too predictable ending finished proceedings, thank god!
All The Boys Love Mandy Lane is not a lot different from any other run of the mill horror. It follows a very strict pattern that we have seen far to often in film, so when are they going to try something different?
The likes of Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend became the new breed of slasher flick of the post Freddy and Jason era. Making it harder for other horror films to differ or be more original. But in the examples of the Final Destination or Saw franchises, they can be entertaining.
The acting in this one is poor and even the death scenes are not as horrific or as gruesome as what they could, or if not should have been.
The build up to what we know is going to happen is long and arduous, and director Jonathan Levine gives or shows nothing we haven’t already seen.
No, all the boys might well love Mandy Lane but there are a good proportion of horror fans that won’t!
